Online Law Tuition Qualifications

Books, a gavel, and a graduation cap on a desk symbolize law education.

Louise Ravenscroft LLM, LLB (hons) BA (hist) (hons)

Louise is a highly experienced academic lawyer, educator, and judicial office holder with a past career in corporate project management, charity, and auditing. Her law qualifications include an LLM (1995) and LLB (Hons) (1993) from the University of Birmingham, a BA (Hons) in History (First Class) (2012) from Open University, and a partially completed LPC (First Stage - Upper distinction). She currently volunteers as a Family Court Magistrate and has served as Trustee & Treasurer for BIBIC charity. Louise was a part-time Associate Lecturer in law at Open University from 2016 to 2025 and is a Senior Examiner for OCR since 2011. However, her main role is as a private tutor, a position she has held since 2013 after teaching in an independent school for three years. Her past career included project management roles at Sainsbury's and Oxfam, as well as auditing at PWC. With extensive experience in providing academic support through private tutoring for GCSE, A-level, undergraduate, and postgraduate students, she has conducted all tutoring online for the past six years. Her ability to deliver complex information in an accessible and empathetic way to both children and adults, whether face-to-face or online, showcases her adaptability and effectiveness as an educator.

William Ravenscroft

William is currently in his sixth semester at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. As a British International student, he was awarded a Mackenzie Scholarship for academic excellence and is pursuing a major in English with Philosophy. His average GPA score is between 3.4-3.6 (equivalent to a 2:1 / First). He achieved a BTEC D*D*D (equivalent to A*A*A) in music while also managing an AS in history alongside his full-time studies. Homeschooled during his GCSEs, William overcame challenges related to dyslexia and ADHD, achieving a 9 in English and a 7 in history. He is an active member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, the oldest fraternity in the US, as well as the University jazz band. His ability to provide academic support and excel in content-heavy subjects makes him an ideal study buddy for students who may be struggling with understanding English and history. Additionally, with his background, he is well-equipped to assist peers pursuing law qualifications through private tutoring.
